Full Description

A number of small rectangular features within field 6 visible on air photographs were thought to be indicative of sunken-feature-buildings of Anglo-Saxon date. Two of these rectangular cropmark features, both c. 3.0m x 1.5m were identified within the excavation. One of these was excavated and a partially articulated animal carcass found within the fill. These pits most likely represent modern animal burials. (1)
See L8323 for cropmark complex.
