Full Description

A series of ill defined paralled anomalies running roughly E-W were probably caused by modern ploughing or were a reflection of medieval ridge and furrow. (1)

I lived in Ordsall Hall in 1966 as a first year student at Eaton Hall College of Education near Rampton. Would this be the same Hall?

Hi Jenny, it's quite possible, the building had various uses during the 20th Century, lastly being a school prior to demolition. There are some pictures of the building on the link below, perhaps you will recognise it.
