Full Description

At c.70cm depth a brick lined V shaped feature was noted … interpreted by the workmen as a midden drain. From the smell, they may have been right. … A well approximately 2m deep, brick lined and shaped like an elongated barrel. The bricks used were good quality, identified as probably C19. (1)
