Full Description

Fieldwalking recovered a number of sherds of Medieval pottery (42) in the two fields known as Broom Grasses. The density of the medieval sherds is significantly higher than in all the other fields, but is still well below the densities identified as possible representing settlement locations along the Fosse Way. (Although a deserted village of South Tiln is postulated, no convincing evidence is given). (1)
See L11572 for nearby Broom House.
