Full Description

Discovered in 1926, during quarrying operations at Steetley Quarry. A number of fossil bones was recovered in sandy deposits within the cave; some of these were donated to the Wollaton Hall Museum. The fauna appear to be interglacial in type, presumably from the Ipswichian intergalcial. (1)
