Full Description

Contour survey shows a small rectangular platform c.10 x 8m with a surrounding ditch. This appears either to be linked to another platform on N side or has a causewayed entrance to the N. A trench was placed aross the platform, ditch and adjacent bank. … Ditch shallow (0.5m deep), flat bottomed, and cut into sand and gravel with a peat fill. No features on the platform, material comprised smaller, more angular stones, including some heat affected stones. A small quantity of finds were retrieved, including three pottery sherds and three fragments of plain roof tile. (1)
