Full Description

Trench A - 25cm benath the topsoil mortared brickwork was encountered, the side walls of a brick lined burial vault. At the limit of excavation, 1.1m, the surface of a small coffin was exposed. The coffin was made of lead but had some wood adhering. The coffin was not disturbed during excavation. (1)
