Full Description

N of Newington village, beside Rugged Carr Drain, a prehistoric polished stone axe was found in 1956 (Bassetlaw Museum Records). (1)
Grid ref is somewhat more E than N of the village. Rugged Carr Drain forms the County Boundary at this point, find spot may not be in Nottinghamshire.
