Full Description

At the northern end of the site a 22m length of cut 108 was exposed. It was found to have a width of 0.55m-0.65m and a max depth of 0.15m at the centre. Two linear features were exposed in the sections of the drainage ditches (cuts 113 and 115). No artefactual material was recovered from these features. (The excavators speculate on an IA field system, based on alignment with other ditches.) (1)
See L3519 for cropmarks in this area, L11864 and L12048 for further features from watching brief. See L11861-L11865 for finds from topsoil.
