Full Description

Trenches 02a-e: A small incomplete stake (c.0.5m diameter and c.0.16m long) was found within the peat to the E of the alder log. Radiocarbon dated Cal AD 790 to 1030 at 95% probability. Appears to relate to Anglo-Saxon activity of undetermined nature in the vicinity, though no further associated remains were found. (1)
