Full Description

Trenches 7a,b: A small amount of roundwood within the peat had cut ends. In addition three vertical timber posts in a N-E to S-W alignment in-situ within the peat. Lying along the S side of this were a small number of roundwood / branches laid horizontally on a roughly NE - SW alignment. Artefacts present: heat affected stone. The presence of the late BA post alignment indicates the existence of a structure which, if a trackway, may stretch between the island and the gravel terrace. (1)
