Full Description

Features observed during trenching for mains replacement. 21 - A feature (of unknown function but probably a ditch) 0.6m wide and at least 0.75m deep. 22 - Another possible ditch 1.5m wide and apparently at least as deep as the trench. 23 - A 1.2m wide feature … had a shallow shelf on its W edge. Date and function of this ditch unknown. As it lies close to a cropmark enclosure it may represent part of that complex. (1)
See L9948 for cropmarks in this area, which may be associated with these features.
