Full Description

Features observed during trenching for mains replacement. 44 - A large part of a horse's skull was retrieved in a dark soil deposit close to Low Marnham pinfold. The skull was contained within a dark grey silt which seemed to be filling a feature 1m deep cut into the natural sand. A modern sewer trench had removed part of the ditch or pit. (1)
See L6568 for pinfold.
