Full Description

Ro pottery, colour coated and grey wares were found near 3 human burials during ploughing in 1966-7. There were no grave goods. The burials were extended and orientated N-S. (1)
Find spot corrected (as above) by Mrs P Tomlinson, Elton Farm, who was present shortly after the finds were made by her husband whilst deep ploughing in Oct 1966. After lifting, the burials and pottery were removed to the Forensic Science Lab, Sheffield University. No material has been found since 1966. Site now under corn stubble. (2)
