Full Description

The base of a large pit was seen in the layer below (the uppermost layer of tarmac, brick rubble and ash) but there was no evidence for its cut within the upper layers and its fill was identical [sic]. A small body sherd of undiagnostic lightly shell gritted medieval pottery came from the fill of the pit. (1)
