Full Description

Large irregular pit extending to 1.8m below ground level. In excess of 2x2m with steeply sloping sides. The fill was dark brown earth with decayed mortar. It contained a few isolated bricks and floor tiles. Identified as the site of a former earth closet, probably C19. (1)
