Full Description

S arcade C13. N arcade has nave clerestory and aisles, chancel and W tower and spire. C13, C14, C15. (1)
St Michael. The church of Bonington. Spire … C15. The arcade to the S aisle is C13, that to the N aisle C14. The clerestory is C15. Restoration of 1895 by W. S. Weatherley. (2)
The nave arcades [were] probably erected early in the C13th. About 1340 or 1350 the side aisles were rebuilt, probably much wider than before. A large south porch was also built. The addition of the clerestory, in late Gothic, [was] at some time in the C16th. The chancel … was entirely rebuilt in 1878. (3)
