Kingston mine. Gypsum (reservoir). (1)
Kingston Gypsum Mine is South-West of Gotham, mining commencing in 1880 and transported to Ashby de la Zouch and Barrow on Soar by river for grinding. A gypsum mill was built which was replaced by `Sirapite' kilns. The site has now been cleared. (2)
