Full Description

Windpump, 1935 - bore hole 175ft deep, tower 30ft high, pumps 150ft down. Pumps water to barn - newly painted vanes but not used much as there is now mains water laid on. Pumps water NW from underground river NW/SE which runs through limestone under blue clay. Sunk in 1935 after 2 year old child had died from poisoning from a well. To be allowed to fall into disrepair (02/07/1968). (1)
