Full Description

The ancient road, known as "Coventry Lane" crossed the Trent at this point (Attenborough), and here, in times of drought, the foundations of a bridge have been discerned. Dickinson states that there was a Ro fort at this place. (1)
The remains of the bridge are near the island. (2)
Ro wall on bed of River Trent. (3)
