Full Description

Flood bank around village. Although levelled in some places it can be seen as a cropmark. From SK 526 332 it appears to run to SK 527 333 and then turn ESE to SK 529 332, at base of Brand's Hill. It appears to cut ploughed ridge and furrow in this stretch. At SK 5198 3285 it also appears to overlie ridge and furrow. Inturn to bank has been largely destroyed here and a re-aligned length built. All above from high level AP. (1)
Bank is reputedly ancient.
See L435,6,8 for nearby cropmarks.
