Full Description

The church of St Peter dates from 1887 and takes the place of a Med one. Much of the churchyard wall is made up of stone taken away from Flawforth Church when it was pulled down in 1773. St Peter's also possesses some of the windows from Flawforth. (1)
In W end of church - several pieces of Med church masonry on floor. Med font (c.1300) from Flawford. (2)
Rebuilt in 1887-8 by Bell & Roper of Manchester in Dec style. Medieval font possibly from Flawford. (3)
