CHURCH (Victorian to Late 20th Century) The chapel of St Mary became the parish church of St Peter when the church at Flawford was demolished in 1773. St Peters Church rebuilt 1887-8. Originally Medieval, rebuilt in 1887-8 apart from part of the tower. Plan of aisled nave, North-West tower, West and South porches, South vestry with porch, chancel and organ chamber

Full Description

The church of St Peter dates from 1887 and takes the place of a Med one. Much of the churchyard wall is made up of stone taken away from Flawforth Church when it was pulled down in 1773. St Peter's also possesses some of the windows from Flawforth. (1)

In W end of church - several pieces of Med church masonry on floor. Med font (c.1300) from Flawford. (2)
