Full Description

To the N of the village beside the Trent are remains of the wharf at which gypsum mined in the Gotham hills was loaded into boats. The course of the tramway (M679) which connected Barton Mine with the wharf can be traced through the intervening fields. It crossed the road from Thrumpton at SK 525 320. (1)
