Full Description

In gravel workings between Holme Lane and Holme Cut, a causeway of stone, producing sherds of Stamford ware and later pottery, a hearth and hut site with burnt daub. (1)
Probable site of DMV excavated by Mr Holdsworth who has plans, sections and finds. 4 "hut" floors and a well were found and a possible enclosure. Finds include Med potsherds. (2) (3)
