Full Description
Old chapel of Luttrells at farm. In 1949 it was in a fragmentary condition. (1)
A careful search of the ground has failed to reveal the remains of the chapel. The buildng at SK 6025 3721 is a dwelling house (ie looking in the wrong place - VB). (2)
Gamston (West Bridgford) chapel listed under "Churches of which the sites are uncertain or unknown". (3)
Hall Farm. Rear rubble wall with arched doorway now blocked with rubble… Local tradition says that this was originally the Med chapel of Gamston whose location is now uncertain, however the N-S axis of the farmhouse on an unrestricted site would appear to cast some doubt on this. It is possible that the stone from this chapel was re-used in an earlier building on this site and then subsequently re-used in the present building. (4)
See M11587 for Hall Farm.
