Colour slide of soil mark shows central pit, 1972 colour slide suggests the site has been "developed". (2)
A deposit of clay about 3ft deep was spread over the site in 1972 prior to development. The site is now sealed beneath this deposit. Current developments will leave the site intact under the clay. (4)
A henge site to be scheduled (notified 09/08/1974), and, it is hoped, preserved. (5)
The farmer said he found some material (see L8110) in the plough "years ago" on the site of a ploughed out, ditched mound that stood at SK 70284034. (9)
No longer arable land, extensive earth moving and industrial building has, and is, taking place. (6)
The site was revealed by APs after ploughing as a clear soilmark. It is an Arminghall type henge with penannular bank and ditch, c 35m in diameter. At present (1974) the site is covered with a 3ft dump of clay preparatory to its being part of an industrial development and is therefore safe unless a factory is placed over it. (7)
The site is now in the middle of an industrial estate and needs redefining on a map of the estate. (8)
