Full Description
The first actual evidence of a watermill appears in the time of Queen Elizabeth, in a dispute over rent at a water cornmill called the new mill of Fens. (Suggests this mill stood in Dell Dale, based on 1612 map). (1)
Forest boundary described, running along the Dover Beck from Caythorpe Mill "and soe as the River was wont to run in ancient time into the River of Trent, directly over against a place where a Milne stood, on the southside Trent, in the Lordshipp of East Bridgford". (2)
