Named "Barron Mill". (1)
Named 'Hoveringham Mill'. (2)
Hoveringham Mill dates (? From) early C15 documentary evidence, Shire Hall archives. (4)
Recorded by Dr Summers and students, Nottm Univ. Dated 1778 on one side wall, but the existing miller's house was built in the middle C19. The mill machinery is complete (including wheel, gearing, millstones and hoist). Still in use for grinding 2 or 3 years ago, until water supply declined. (5) (6)
This 3 storey corn mill is complete with wheel and machinery. The wheel is undershot having wooden paddles. The mill is most attractive and seems to be part of the adjacent private house. (7) (8)
A working corn mill until the early 1960's. (9)
