Full Description

Half way along (Main St) is a hosiery factory (Meridian) which looks early C20, and was then contemporary with a considerable domestic industry in the village. (1)
Stocking-knitting remained a cottage industry until the early C20, when the Meridian factory halfway along Main Street was built. (2)
