Soilmarks of rectangular enclosures with a section of possible droveway at above grid ref. Possibly a Ro settlement site. (1)
On Balderton Aerodrome looking N. Very extensive cropmarks - enclosures - buildings ? Curving lines etc. Photos 1966. (1) (2) (3)
As can be seen on the APs the marks fall within a disused airfield, and is obviously fairly flat. The only surface irregularities can be attributed to the removal of the runways, perimeter tracks and dispersal areas. Under corn stubble and grass when visited, nothing of interest was found. (4)
SK 815494 also given, AP grid refs indicate large area covered. Position only on map.
