Full Description

Greasley Cut - branch canal on the Nottingham Canal - built 1800. This cut was 1/8 mile long - built to serve the Duke of Rutland's collieries at Greasley. Now obliterated. No ref. See 02289 for Nottingham Canal. Greasley Cut left the main line of the canal just north of Awsworth. (1)
