Full Description

To the W of the church (at Cossall) are the picturesque almshouses, 8 houses and a chapel, founded by George Willoughby in 1685. (2)

Willoughby Almshouses, 1685 ... brick, the centre with a saddleback roof, and gabled posts on both sides, on the left 3, on the right 4 slightly less in height. (3)

The almshouses are as described above and stand behind a high wall. They are in good condition and still occupied. (4)
