Almshouses. (1)
In her will Mary E. Hardstaff (1843-1899) left £3,838 and instructions to build almshouses. Houses at Giltbrook [near] Kimberley … were constructed as a result. (2)
Datestone reads 'Erected 1901'. Unaltered Arts and Crafts influenced design with Doric details. Boundary wall with piers and art nouveau gates. (3)
