Full Description
Mostly destroyed by fire in 1907 and replaced by a building … by L. Ambler. The only early work is C13 masonry in the chancel walls and two C15 buttresses to the aisles. The broach-spire dates from 1863-7. (1)
About 1150 AD there was a church with a nave and also an aisle. Towards the end of the 12th century, the arcade was extended eastwards. In the 13th century the chancel and the tower were built. 14th century [S] arcade. In the 15th or 16th century a clerestory was built. About 1863-7 … the south aisle was widened. The south wall of the chancel was rebuilt. (2)
