1758 turnpike road, Selston to Annesley. In use as road. (1)
Ancient Toll Road/Turnpike which contains ancient hedgerows and banked sides, shown on the Charworth Estate Map of 1817. Granted a 99 year lease in 1462 to Beauvale Priory to enable monks to transport coal from their workings at Selston to the priory. One of the earliest turnpike roads in Nottinghamshire. (2)
