Full Description

In Thieves Wood, opposite Harlow Wood Hospital is a ditch running N and S over the hill and splitting into 2 sections on the crest. It may be a hollow way (described as Med or older road). (1)
Double ditch. (2)
A series of well defined hollow ways in woodland. They presumably pre-date the turnpiking of the adjacent road in 1787. (3) (4)
A series of holloways running broadly parallel to the modern A60. These can be clearly seen on Lidar imagery and on the ground from the roadside. They likely represent the former courses of the present A60, which received turnpike status in 1787 and was consequently straightened after that date. (5)
See L2558 for earthworks to W, L2559 for ditch to E.
