Full Description

Pond (1) (Now split into 2.)
Japanese Garden..... It was constructed by Miss Webb, daughter of a former owner of Newstead Abbey, early in the present century..... The thing which made the construction of such a garden possible was, of course, the presence of the stream which flows through the Newstead lakes. ..... The ornaments include stone "lanterns" and a Japanese Tea-house. (2)
