Eagle Pond. (1)
The Eagle Pond owes its name to the brass eagle lectern that is said to have been thrown into it by the canons when the Priory was dissolved in 1539, and to have been recovered from the water… c mid C18. (2)
The Eagle Pond was a fish pond and is probably of Med origin. (3)
Eagle Pond is a rectangular, ornamental pond with no certain evidence of a Med origin. (4)
