Full Description

Monk's Garden. (1)
To the N of the church is the so-called Monk's Garden. (2)
There is no certain evidence for the area having been a monastic garden. The area has been known as Monk's Graveyard and both names are probably modern inventions. (3)
The area is occupied by part of the Abbey gardens. (4)
See M8939 for Priory and M8293 for Abbey house.
See M12914 for fountain in this area, and M12918 for fountain probably moved from here.
