Large rectangular enclosure with rounded corners and 2 apparent entrances. 2 nearly parallel linear features and a possible ring ditch. (1)
The marks are located on a gentle NE facing slope, at present under winter corn. No surface irregularities and nothing of interest found. (2)
2 temporary camps, one inside the other, photographed 1982. Area of outer camp probably a little over 20 acres (8.5Ha). Inner camp of irregular design, area c 3.9 acres (1.6Ha). Faint marks of titula outside 3 of its entrances, no titulum visible outside NW entrance. The camps are in the valley of the Dover Beck, c 8 miles from the Foss Way. (3)
