Several circles, at least 3, SW of Oxton. Also some indistinct linear features. (1) (2)
The marks are located in an arable field that is slightly undulating and has a gentle slope to the SE, and new crop was just showing through the soil when the site was visited. None of the rings could be identified on the ground and nothing significant was seen. It is felt that the features are in all probability fungus rings. (3)
Gun emplacements (circular features anyway). Army camp possibly accounts for parallel linear features also. (4)

After much deliberation, these cropmarks are probably best interpreted as barrow ring ditches. (6)
