Full Description

Kirklington Mill stands beside the road on the S side of the village. It is a fairly large square building. There are no significant remains of the machinery, but the site of the pool can be seen to the W. (2)
A water powered corn mill at the edge of the village, 3 storey. Water wheel now removed, probably for installation of turbine. Probably late C19. (3)
[By] the bridge over the river Greet. The mill is C19, 3 storeyed, with a hoist overhanging the road. Mill Farm [opposite]. (4)
Shown on Sanderson 1836 and Chapman 1775. (5) (6)
References to this mill in DB and in the reign of Henry II. The last mill on the site, probably C19, still stands although now converted into a house. It is 3 stroreys high in brick. In 1887 it drove 4 pairs of stones. No machinery or waterwheel remains. There is a lucarn. (7)
