House shown, having 5 bays and 2 chimneys. (1)
After the alienation of episcopal and church lands during the Commonwealth, Edward Cludd … lived at Norwood as Keeper of the Park. He was able to take advantage of his position to buy Norwood, where he built a house. In 1764 Mr John Sutton bought the lease and built "a more handsome mansion in a better situation". (2) (3)
