Full Description

Site of Med chapel. (1)
A stone C17 cottage in Bathley is built of material from a dismantled Chapel of Ease. (2) The site is now occupied by a new bungalow and stone coffins have been found there. A house close by called "The Hollies" at SK 7763 5913, is known locally as the old vicarage, and the stone cottage noted above stands at SK 7791 5911. This apparently contains decorated stones but access was not obtained. (3)
See M9198 for The Hollies.
