Full Description

A possible road, evidenced by a 25ft-30ft band of stonework 3ft below ground level, was observed in the S bank of the Trent at above grid ref. In the opposite bank were fragments of Derbyshire gritstone. No dating. (1)
Not a road, but the collapsed remains of a stone revetment originally constructed to safeguard bank collapse on a bend of a swiftly flowing river. (2)
