Full Description

A red brick cottage with a pantile roof, which was probably the lock-keeper's cottage, is on the town side of the lock. (1)
This is W one - NIAR says this one is 1772. (2)
This is certainly the lock-keeper's cottage of 1772/3 as it is clearly marked on the Newark map of 1790 (29/04/2004). (3)
