Full Description
Possible Med village shrinkage in a large field S of Southwell gasworks. No discernable pattern. (1)
Easthorpe, the "east hamlet", was Estorp in the Registers of the Archbishops of York in 1227. It lay to the E of Southwell. (2)
An extensive stretch of shrinkage, doubtless the original hamlet of Easthorpe. Now rough pasture. Possible tenement divisions are visible on APs. (3) (4)
Morph: 197. 4.1 shrunken village (5).
