Full Description

Building heavily rendered. Slate roof, 3 storeys high, semi basement, 18 bays long, 9 bays wide. Kilns at SW and NW corners. 11th bay N - loft doors and hoist out over river survive. 4th bay N - sack chute. A number of other doors etc. The rear of the building was served by a railway siding, the bottom growing floor was of tile. The building is in fair repair, although its condition is deteriorating. It is now empty. (1)
Made from mass concrete, reputedly one of the first so made. Built for James Hole, Brewers, the smaller of a pair. Suffered serious fire damage in 1992. Featured in (3). (2)
