Full Description

Knapthorpe is Chenapetorp, Chenatorp in DB, and Knapthorp in the 1310 Calender of Charter Rolls, 1903-27. (1)
Site of deserted (shrunken ?) Med village of Knapthorpe. (2)
Nothing suggesting a village can be seen on the available APs. (3)
No evidence indicative of desertion could be seen in the vicinity of the present community of Knapthorpe which comprises a single farm and a few cottages. (4)
