Full Description

Early Norman herringbone pattern has been found at the E end of the N aisle. The S door [and] tower base [are] also Norman. Two arcades with a variety of C13 pier shapes. The tower [has] Perp bell-stage openings. The clerestory … also Perp. C17 … font cover … pulpit [and] altar rails. Restored in the 1890's by C. Hodgson Fowler, born at Rolleston. (1)
A memorial of 1706 is to John Twentiman, a vicar. (2)
The chancel arch is ... of the 13th century [but] the chancel was re-built and probably lengthened in the 14th century. At the very beginning of the 14th century the tower was built. In the fifteenth century two additional storeys were added. (3)
